Lee Shaw

Hailing from Victoria, Australia, Lee has been playing the Guitar since 13, influenced majorly by Metal / Rock bands like Slayer, Pantera, Cannibal Corpse, Pink Floyd, Rollins Band, Danzig and Opeth to name a few.

He often considered joining/starting a band but struggled to meet serious, like-minded people and after creating and writing most the material for a short-lived Grindcore/Death Metal duo in 2007 Intestinal Damage he decided it was time to make a change, little did he know that his whole concept on music was about to change.

A friend had introduced him to FL Studio several years earlier, and playing around with the Demo of the program, Lee managed to write several different musical pieces under the name Infinity Indecadence where surprisingly, he came up with very Dark, Ambient and Sonically Disturbed/Mad Soundscapes, which friends compared to the likes of Nine Inch Nails (Trent Reznor) and some Various Electronica Pieces with Trance, Dance and DnB Elements (The song titled Drum and Bass IDM Mix was hugely popular for Lee claiming #26 in Electronica out of 49,000+ songs at soundclick.com.

Despite this Lee never really took Infnity Indecadence seriously, as a result of this the project slowly went into stasis yet little did he know that he would be returning to these genres, and would be regretting the years wasted trying to reinvent the wheel.

After a lot of moving around, and virtually no musical progression whatsoever he met Amie Cox through a friend, she had always wanted to be a singer as her father was (David Sterry of Real Life and they decided to start what is now known as "Rythmik Love" though at the time they had no idea of a name, let alone if they could actually come up with anything!

Lee started studying into music creation, different methods and ideas/learning the fundamentals of Electronica Dance / Pop Music (EDM), and stumbled again into FL Studio , this gave him an idea, he bought the express version of the program and started working on their first song Where Are We Going? rendering the pieces to mp3 and playing around in audacity to acheive a listenable result, the end result was decided. It was time to buy the program and start tackling this project full on.

This was a huge undertaking, starting from scratch in an unknown genre(s), with no definable instinct of what "Pop Music" should sound like, no Idea how to record clean, crisp, beautiful vocals, no equipment and definately no money to buy it, if it weren't for FL Studio replacing most equipment and having an incredibly intuitive interface none of this would've been possible.

So far Lee Writes all music first, and Amie comes up with the melody and vocals after that, songs are subject to change a few times before they're considered "Complete" but Lee is working hard towards getting it right the first time round as much as possible, they don't tour due to life commitments but are interested in meeting DJ's for collaboration or remixing, the music is getting more and more dancefloor oriented and It's yet to be tested in a live set / Nightclub environment.
